Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kanjify iOS application ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

• User: Any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
• Content: Kanji suggestions, audio pronunciations, generated images, text, and any other output provided by the Service.
• Paid Features: In-app purchases that unlock unlimited access or other premium offerings.

2. Use of the Service

• The Service is provided "as is." You are responsible for your use and for having the necessary device, network connection, and software.
• If you are under 13 years old, you may not use the Service without parental consent. We may terminate access if we discover a violation.
• You agree not to misuse the Service or violate applicable laws.

3. In-App Purchases

• Purchases are processed via Apple's App Store (StoreKit). All billing, refunds, and financial data are handled according to Apple's policies; we do not process payments directly.
• Some features allow a limited number of free uses. Continued access requires purchasing the relevant paid feature. Prices may change and equivalent local currency amounts are determined by Apple.
• Once purchased, access is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored via StoreKit. Benefits are non-transferable.

4. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including software, design, brand assets, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service.
• You may use generated Content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Commercial use requires our prior written permission.
• Feedback or suggestions you submit may be used without obligation or compensation.

5. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

1. Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or offensive purposes.
2. Generate or distribute content that is discriminatory, defamatory, violent, or otherwise inappropriate.
3. Circumvent usage limits, interfere with Service operations, or attempt to access data without authorization.
4. Infringe the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• We strive to provide a reliable experience but do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without liability.

7. Support

For assistance, please reach out through the in-app inquiry form. We will respond as promptly as feasible but do not guarantee resolution of every issue.

8. Termination

• You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you fail to comply with these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Previously purchased features remain subject to Apple's policies.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notice or on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or related to the Service will be resolved exclusively in the Tokyo District Court.
